Welcome to The Mac Ball.
The Mac Ball was founded in 2004 by a group of friends as a living tribute to those that we have loved and lost, in a way which they would have wanted - a vibrant and happy night. Our name, The Mac Ball, is derived from our loved one's surnames. As friends who have benefited from the help of charities such as Macmillan and Marie Curie, in particular, we realised that these charities can make a world of a difference when most needed. So, we decided to set up The Mac Ball in order to aid these charities, both financially and to help raise public awareness of their excellent work, particularly amongst our peers. The philosophy of The Mac Ball is quite simple. We aim to raise funds for charities which are close to our hearts in the form of an annual grand charity ball. All of our profits will go to our nominated charity each year. The Mac Ball 2004 was a great success, raising more than £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief and the second Mac Ball, in 2005 raised over £15,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Just click on 'Past Balls' to find out more and see pictures from the nights. And so, after taking a year out, the Mac Ball 2007 is upon us. Once again we're hoping to have a brilliant night and raise a fantastic amount of money for this year's nominated charity, Breast Cancer Care. So, please, help us help them.....and have a fantastic night out in the process at the Mac Ball 2007!!! With our greatest appreciation,
Justine and Claire The Mac Ball Committee.
